Carpenter

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Construct, repair, and install structures and fixtures of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to precise specifications
• Assemble and install cabinets, furniture, and other wood products
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform carpentry tasks, such as sawing, drilling, and sanding
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety rules and regulations
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects

Qualifications:

• Up to 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred
• Knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy materials and equipment
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
