About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement Montessori curriculum and activities to promote learning and development in children aged 2.5-6 years
  • Prepare and maintain the classroom environment to meet the needs of all students, ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming space
  • Observe, assess, and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver special events, field trips, and parent-teacher conferences
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular progress reports, conferences, and daily updates
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and communication with parents


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Montessori certification (AMI or AMS) or willingness to obtain
  • Up to 2 years of experience working with children in a Montessori or similar setting
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and Montessori philosophy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
